Clinical Interests: Equine Sports Medicine and Primary Care

Dr. Mahaffy is originally from upstate New York where she grew up riding and showing in the hunter and equitation events. She made her way down south where she received her BS in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Her primary interests include managing the equine athlete with a focus on equine sports medicine as well as primary care.

Outside of work, Dr. Mahaffy enjoys sitting down with a good book, traveling, and spending time exploring the outdoors with her family and her dog, Betty.
