Equine Emergencies

Janssen Veterinary Clinic Equine Doctors provide emergency coverage 24/7/365 for previously established, current clients (within 12 months). The answering service will relay your message to the Veterinarian, who will return your call.

Note: If your horse does not have a current Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) or you are not a previously established, current client, you may leave a message to be returned the next business day.

It is always best that horses come to the clinic for emergency care. Please understand that we are asking clients to always be prepared to haul-in their horse, especially when the horse’s location is greater than 30 minutes from the practice. Most times we can meet a request for a farm call, but we do expect clients to have haul-in options as part of an emergency plan.
